Computerized Corneal Topography

Computerized corneal topography detects corneal abnormalities. It measures thousands of points of curvature on the corneal surface, checks for distortion of the natural curve, and aids in fitting difficult contact lens cases.

Examples of Corneal Problems (Curvature changes on surface)

Normal Eye

 

Keratoconus – very steep cone shape (area in red)

 

Corneal Transplant (Graft) – numerous curvature changes after transplant
